When mowing grass / or leaves please do not blow trimmings into streets. When it rains the grass floats and then clogs up street drains.
1. This causes water to back up onto streets and properties.
2. Could also cause water flooding in basements because instead of draining through street drain is now forced to be absorbed into ground.
3. Any material that goes down street drains other than water also causes restrictions in the street drains preventing the drains from being able to remove water efficiently. Once drains get clogged it is very time consuming and expensive to unclog drains.
